Blue Nguyen is a Vietnamese non-binary lesbian poet, artist, and organizer. Inspired by cartography and traditional symbolism in Viet architecture and culture–they research the architecture of grief, giving thanks and livelihood. Nominated for Best of the Net and Best New Poets Anthologies, their poetry has been featured in The Mantle Poetry, Glass, Protean Magazine, Prolit Magazine, Vănguard Zine and more. They received scholarships and fellowships from Fine Arts Work Center, Brew and Forge, and Lambda Literary. Their book Hey Siri, What Time is it in Vietnam? is forthcoming with GameOverBooks.
Blue is currently learning and experimenting with fabric weaving, wood carving, and pottery techniques, translating written form into these mediums.
