Huế Incense Special Edition
Order here
Ingredients: black locust, vetiver, dianella, palo santo, sandalwood, white sage, and joss bark.
Scent profile: light but layered, with a balanced interplay of floral sweetness, warm woods, grounding earthiness, and aromatic smokiness.
While palo santo, sandalwood, and vetiver create the grounding and warm woody base, black locust and dianella build a space of freshness and cleanliness with an air of floral green. The smokiness of white sage further purifies, and joss bark brings a lively resinous spice. The house is cleansed through the rainy season. Its warmth and strong energy even allow one to burst open the door and invite the garden in.
Bèo Tấm is an experienced organic cosmetics craft house based in Huế. The collaborative project Huế Incense is a labor of love between Bèo Tấm and AirHue. Through this special edition of Huế Incense, AirHue not only wish to showcase the art practiced by young craftspeople of the city but also to introduce the public to a fresh, contemporary Huế energy.

In March 2025, AirHue worked as the local partner and host for the project Connecting Ecological Grief, organized by Heart of Glass (UK), Á Space (VN), and Gerimis (Malaysia).
The project weaves artistic research practices, transnational narratives and community knowledge between Vietnam, Malaysia and the UK. Central to this project is a shared enquiry exploring ecological damage, focusing on the meeting points of land and water — coastlines and rivers. The project hopes to highlight how the process of gathering, storytelling, collective reflection, and solidarity could in part reconcile the human-ecological divide, at the same time call for possible action towards climate change, environmental degradation and species displacement.
Taking place in Huế and Hà Tĩnh provinces in early March 2025, the project hopes to explore the concept of the living memorial, which consists of an artist field residency, a series of participatory activities such as cross-learning workshops, discussions, screenings and rituals in a hope to arrive at possible answers for questions relating to what research, processes, alternative methodologies, speculative stories, and community engagement would be required for people to grieve, mark the losses in face of environmental crisis?
