Program
Nhân Phan & Ivy Võ
2025
Nhan Phan is a media artist. Born into the Internet era, his work forms a manual for being human under digital conditions, realized through software and installation. Nhan is the founder of CodeSurfing, a fellow then mentor of Processing Fellowship, and a finalist of Lumen Prize.
Ivy Vo is an multimedia artist working across printmaking, video, installation, and graphic design. Teleporting between Saigon and London, her practice explores repetition, shifting meanings, and identity. She has exhibited internationally and co-founded VINAXOA, and is a member of BAESIANZ.
The upcoming project “Sometimes,” continues their exploration of the emotional capacity of technology, this time, bringing it into dialogue with the traditional trúc chỉ art of Huế to expand the medium’s boundary. A story shared by anh Phan Hải Bằng about a love poem written on the thin surface of a nón lá, which reveals only words when held under sunlight, has prompted the two artists to reflect on the mutability of materials, under light and across distances, resonating with the different forms of intimacy found in relationships.
