Lucia Tường Vy Nguyễn is a writer, editor, and arts worker interested in ludology: the study of games, their players, and their violence. In her spare time, she trains and competes as an amateur boxer from which she encounters the most diverse walks of life and critically reflects on this sport’s intertwinement within fictions of nationhood, border-making/patrolling, and domination in various spheres of social life.

During her residency at AirHue, Lucia will be working on her book-length collection of 12 essays, ‘Oxen Don’t Eat Meat’, mirroring 12 rounds in a boxing match. Each essay spar with structures of gamified violence to query how rage can manifest as nourishment in both community and the body.
