Lillyanne Pham
Program
2026
Lillyanne Pham (LP) is a Vietnamese American artist based in Portland, Oregon. Raised in the American Midwest, LP holds a BA in Sociology from Reed College and an MFA in Contemporary Art Practice from Portland State University. Their work moves between public art, painting, installation, research, food, and community projects, with an ongoing interest in how people make home and carry culture with them.
LP came to Hue to continue her project, Three Flowers, exploring spice, memory, and migration through hot sauce, fermentation, conversation, sound, and food. Inspired by their mother Hồng, sister Daisy, and herself, Lilly, the project looks at flavor as a form of memory passed through family and everyday life. LP is especially interested in the tongue as an archive: how taste, heat, smell, and sensation can hold memories of home, migration, adaptation, and care.
