Jenn arrived in Huế eager to learn more about the art of mother-of-pearl inlay and to connect with local artisans. This craft is familiar to both Vietnamese people and the overseas Vietnamese community. Fascinated by this technique and its cultural, social, and economic narratives, Jenn spent her residency at AirHue creating A Pearl Poem, a work inspired by the aesthetics of inlaid objects, using fabric and reflective vinyl as materials.
